A REVIEW ON MICROSTRUCTURAL INVESTIGATION OF NI BASED CLADDING MICROWAVE IRRADIATION

Abstract

Abstract:- The treated steel SS-304 is utilized to deliver turbine sharp edges in a portion of the water driven force plants. It has fantastic consumption obstruction and shaping qualities. In the current examination, the nickel based clads were created through microwave energy utilizing homegrown microwave outfitted with 900 W power at 2.4 GHz recurrence. The created clads were described through optical metallographic, examining electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-beam spectroscopy (EDS), X-beam diffraction (XRD) and porosity. Microstructure study uncovered that microwave clads are liberated from noticeable interfacial breaks and porosity is essentially less at around 0.82%. The different complex metal carbides and intermetallics were found through XRD examination.

Keywords:- Microwave cladding.
