CREATING AND ACHEVING SYNERGY BY USING MERGERS AND ACQUSITION ACTIVITIES-A CASE OF MYNTRA’S ACQUISITION OF JABONG

Abstract


Mergers and Acquisition activities cause numerous changes in both acquiring and target companies. But one important factor that every stakeholder is interested to know and happy to see is a synergy. It can be operational synergy or in any other form. In fact, quite often the success of an M&A deal is measured by analyzing any possible synergy that is being created due to the deal. Because it is believed that if a proper synergy is created, then all the teething problems of the deal can be smoothly negated and it can sustain in the long term by facing any sort of competition. Therefore, a proper due diligence is to be done well in advance before a deal is constructed. This paper aims at looking into the aspects of both due diligence and synergy by taking the acquisition of Jabong by Mintra.
