Abstract
Abstract- Gender Sensitisation through education is a whopping gauge through which the line of thought of the individuals can be altered towards the genders. This research paper sheds light on the perception of students towards Gender Sensitisation. An intensive literature review was conducted on gender sensitisation. The most prevalent areas that trigger Gender Sensitivity were used as the theoretical basis of the study. Four research Objectives were developed for this study. The sample size for the present study is 100 respondents, which were collected from Class IX of Private and Government CBSE affiliated Schools of Delhi. Percentage and Mean statistical method was used to analyse the Perception of Students towards Gender Sensitivity. From the findings, it was discovered that the perception of students towards the four factors of Gender Sensitivity, School Infrastructure and Management, Classroom Practices, Instructional Material and Gender based Violence is insensitive. Among the four aspects the most highly ranked is Gender based Violence. Another supremely rated aspect is Classroom Practices. The lowest rank aspect is School Infrastructure and management. Training programs should be held on Gender Sensitisation to modify the behaviour and perception of the teaching staff, non-teaching staff, parents and students to create a gender equitable environment.
